Description
We are seeking for a motivated Quality Engineering Intern to join our team and support key initiatives to implement or improve tools and processes to ensure product or services meets our Quality standards including reliability, usability and performance. You must be a self-starting problem solver who will utilize your analytical skills to find innovative solutions to quality-related issues. Strong communication skills are essential to understand requirements and expectations, make progress reports and present findings. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role offers hands-on experience in Quality operations and exposure to multiple functional areas including, production, engineering, and supply chain.
Assist with defect data analytics. Hands-on documenting plant processes flow. Review, validate, and update our Calibration process, and maintain KPI. Review, validate, and update Receiving Inspection tracking systems Assist with updating Scrap reports and maintain KPI. Assist with Supplier scorecard tracking and reporting. Participate in continuous improvement / lean efforts. Assist with internal audits of the Quality System. Perform other Quality Engineering related tasks and special projects as assigned. Update and item creation on internal quality systems i.e. Quality Issues, Corrective and Preventative Actions, Supplier Cost Recover, Supplier Ratings, Dock-to-Stock Database and First Article Inspection Reports.?

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Currently pursuing an Engineering Bachelor’s Degree program. ? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of data analytics / statistics, Tableau, Pareto Analysis and other data analysis methods. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts? Ability to work effectively and collaborate in a team-oriented environment. Detail and precision oriented. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and data analytics/Power BI. Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma practices is a plus. Knowledge of Quality Management systems is a plus.
