Overview Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers Microsoft's cloud services. As a Senior Test Engineer in the CTO Office of CO+I, you will be responsible for testing industrial control systems and similar technology, including PLC programming and SCADA integration for large-scale infrastructure environments. Familiarity with data acquisition frameworks for sensor data collection and analysis is essential. Practical knowledge of building systems such as HVAC, power distribution, plumbing, pumps, and piping is required. Candidates should also demonstrate proficiency in back-end software development, working with APIs and databases, and cloud-native architecture. The team is responsible for developing new innovative solutions for Microsoft's data centers including operations technology, automation systems, cooling infrastructure and infrastructure systems. You will work closely with other engineers and customers to design, prototype, test, and deliver high-quality and reliable solutions that meet the performance, efficiency, and scalability requirements of Microsoft's cloud services. Reliability Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
