Full Description

At ALTEN Finland, we are looking for a Software Test Automation Engineer to strengthen our team in Jyväskylä. This position is ideal for you if you enjoy practical testing work, test automation, and hands-on problem-solving across diverse devices and accessories. You will work in a hybrid mode (approx. 3 days/week on-site) and collaborate closely with an international engineering environment.

Main responsibilities

Execute manual testing across various device/accessory combinations while progressively implementing automation.
Design test plans and manual test cases, identifying scenarios suitable for automation.
Perform hands-on testing for diverse hardware setups and report compatibility findings.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align testing strategies and share automation knowledge.
Participate in the Accessory & Device Team as a Test Engineer (Manual & Automation).
Plan and implement testing activities, handling the complexity of the device-accessory matrix.
Transition manual test cases into automated scripts using Python and Robot Framework.

We expect you to have

Experience in test automation development with Python and Robot Framework
Practical experience in manual testing of hardware or device–accessory combinations
Familiarity with Linux (Ubuntu), Windows, Mac OS, and Android environments
Experience with Git, Jenkins, and/or GitLab CI/CD
Understanding of test management tools such as Jira, Xray, and Confluence
Ability to design test plans and transition manual tests into maintainable automated scripts
Strong communication skills in English and Finnish
Proactive, self-driven working style and the ability to work independently
