Job Description

At Startise, we are looking for a passionate and skilled, detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products, including WordPress plugins, SaaS solutions, and cloud-based applications This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who are eager to learn, grow professionally, and contribute meaningfully to the team.

🛠️ Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 1+ year of experience in QA or software testing. Solid understanding of the WordPress ecosystem, including site setup, plugin/theme installation, and configuration. Experience with local development tools (Local by Flywheel, XAMPP, etc.). Basic understanding of SQL for data validation. Familiarity with programming or scripting languages (e.g., PHP, Java, JavaScript, Bash). Equivalent knowledge in other languages is also acceptable. Solid understanding of Linux commands, server permissions, and log inspection. Hands-on experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Playwright, Selenium). Strong attention to detail with the ability to reproduce, document, and clearly communicate issues. 🚀 Bonus Points If You Have

Good understanding of Shopify. Familiarity with CI/CD and continuous testing concepts. Experience with Linux, including security, firewall, and permissions. Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., k6, JMeter). Familiarity with OpenLiteSpeed (OLS) web servers. Knowledge of DNS, domain configuration, and browser–server interactions. Interest in application security, penetration testing, or DevSecOps.
