Job Description Part of the Global Business Unit Land and Air Systems (LAS) within Thales Group, Thales AMS (Airspace Mobility Solutions) is providing leading edge airspace control and security solutions for the commercial and defense sectors, as well as digital solutions for Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) and Digital Aviation. AMS represents revenues of over 500 million Euros worldwide and is the global market leader in the space of Air Traffic Management and one of the most credible players in the new UTM space. AMS address different markets of Air Traffic Control (ATC) solutions (mainly SW based). Projects involves teams in France (Rungis/Toulouse), Portugal, UK, Romania and Australia. The System Integration and Verification / Validation (IVV) position is responsible for writing and managing test specifications and executing test cases in order to verify/validate the system. This position is based in Romania at THR with some international travels (up to 30%). The first 2 to 3 months might require traveling to France for the upskilling/training. No security clearance required for this position. The System Integration Verification and Validation Engineer (IVV) is responsible for: analyze the technical requirements, create test specification, design and write test cases following the defined guidelines execution of the tests cases for verification and validation phases report confirmed sw defects using bug tracking tool (steps to reproduce, details, logs, dataset, screenshots) verify system bugs (PCR) by analyzing, identifying scenarios and reexecuting associated test cases deliver toward the agreed plan / baseline contribute to the test strategy definition for system verification and validation contribute to maintaining the product test documentation (test strategy, test specification, test results in front of evolving requirements baselines) contributing to the project meetings and interfacing with the key stakeholders when needed ensuring Thales processes (Chorus) are being followed on the project maintaining our quality standards in accordance with the Project management Plan and Engineering plan building and maintaining an onboarding kit for System Test newcomers in Romania in collaboration with System Engineering Discipline Manager. Experience required General Engineering Diploma 5+ years’ experience in similar positions on projects delivering complex software-centric real-time systems 5+ years’ experience as Verification and Validation Engineer on complex system Experience in the ATM Domain and Air Traffic Management standards eg. ICAO, Eurocontrol is a plus Experience in managing technical requirements (with tools like DOORs, Jira, Polarion) Experience in designing and writing test cases Proven capability to manage various stakeholders having different objectives Proven capability to work in a multi-cultural environment and with variety of international customers Experience in managing backlog priorities and project planning. Knowledge/ Skills Knowledge of System testing, verification and validation techniques Knowledge of Linux Knowledge about Virtual machines Knowledge in automation of test cases is a plus ISTQB FL certification is a plus Positive attitude combined with excellent interpersonal and motivational skills Sound judgement and independent decision-making capability where necessary Aptitude to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary integrated team environment Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
