This is the job In Ukraine, within the Digital Lottery & Casual Gaming industry, we are actively seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test to strengthen our team dedicated to delivering captivating digital gaming solutions for lotteries worldwide. The role is focused on building scalable test automation that enables faster, stable releases, supports continuous regression, and improves overall product quality across web platforms and services. This is the team In your role, you’ll become a vital member of a cross-functional engineering environment, collaborating closely with Product Owners, QA Engineers, Developers, DevOps, and Security teams to establish strong test automation practices, improve testability, and raise the quality bar across deliverables. This is you 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in Test / Automation QA with excellent knowledge of Java 21 (primary language). University degree in Computer Science / IT or a relevant discipline (postgraduate degree is a plus). Strong testing mindset and a quality-first engineering approach. Hands-on experience applying test automation frameworks/tools such as Spock, Selenium, Cypress, Webdriver.io, Playwright (or similar). Experience testing and developing web services (REST or SOAP). Solid understanding of coding standards, design best practices, and the ability to apply the test pyramid throughout the SDLC. Strong English communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary stakeholders.

Nice-to-have skills

• Experience with virtualization, cloud solutions, and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure/GCP, Ansible).
• Strong hands-on practice with CI/CD tools and pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Experience building cross-browser/device automation using Sauce Labs and/or BrowserStack.

• Perform ticket analysis and contribute to test planning and coordination of test activities.
• Develop automated tests based on acceptance criteria and business requirements.
• Set up, maintain, and evolve the test automation framework and infrastructure.
• Take ownership of CI/CD execution for build, test, and deployment processes.
• Support and implement deployment processes for test environments, including debugging and troubleshooting.
