Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer
Job Description
As a Supplier Technical Assistance Engineer, you will represent our client at various manufacturing plants. You will take a leadership role within the organization and with suppliers, focusing on product launch, current model quality, and capacity. This role empowers you to make quality decisions on behalf of our client and authorize legal documents such as the Part Submission Warrant.
Responsibilities
Represent the client at manufacturing plants. Lead initiatives regarding product launch, quality, and capacity with suppliers. Make quality decisions and authorize legal documents on behalf of the client. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 8+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Systems/Processes, Continuous Improvement, or Lean in a manufacturing environment. Strong analytical problem-solving skills. Deep knowledge of AIAG APQP and PPAP processes. Strong manufacturing experience and basic computer skills. High level of interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams. Effective oral and written communication skills. Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Preferred experience in manufacturing processes such as Injection Molding and Seating. Preferred commodity experience in Interiors, Injection Molding, and Seating. Preferred problem-solving skills such as Green Belt/Black Belt, Red X, etc.
U. S. Bachelor degree.
Work Environment
This role requires working onsite 5 days per week. The position involves engaging with diverse teams and suppliers, making it essential to have strong interpersonal and communication skills. The work environment will require adherence to safety standards and procedures.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Dearborn, MI.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42.30 - $50.67/hr.
