Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Description

As a Supplier Technical Assistance Engineer, you will represent our company at manufacturing plants. You will take a leadership role both internally and with our suppliers regarding product launch and current model quality and capacity. You will be empowered to make quality decisions on behalf of the company and authorize legal documents such as the Part Submission Warrant.

Responsibilities

Lead initiatives regarding product launch and current model quality. Represent the company at manufacturing plants. Empowerment to make quality decisions on behalf of the company. Authorize legal documents such as the Part Submission Warrant.

Essential Skills

Minimum 8+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Systems/Processes (e.g., IATF), Continuous Improvement, or Lean in a manufacturing environment. Strong analytical problem-solving skills. Strong knowledge of AIAG APQP and PPAP processes. Solid manufacturing experience, program management, and basic computer skills. Quality systems knowledge/experience. High level of interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and leadership in cross-functional teams. Effective oral and written communication skills. Bachelor's degree in engineering.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Preferred manufacturing processes: Injection Molding and Seating.

Preferred commodity experience: Interiors, Injection Molding, Seating. Preferred problem-solving skills such as Green Belt/Black Belt, Red X, etc.

Work Environment

The role requires onsite presence 5 days per week. The work environment involves leadership and collaboration within diverse teams at manufacturing plants. Safety training and personal protection are part of the role, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Dearborn, MI.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $42.30 - $50.67/hr.
