About The Role
As Test Lead with Automation, you will make an impact by leading end‑to‑end validation efforts, driving automation excellence, and ensuring high‑quality delivery across InsuranceNow and Salesforce initiatives. You will be a valued member of the QA organization and collaborate closely with business stakeholders, testers, and cross‑functional teams to ensure robust test coverage and consistent execution.
In This Role, You Will
Lead comprehensive validation of UI configuration changes for the Insurance Now application, including test design, execution, and reporting. Guide and support QA team members in setting up automation environments (Git, AWS, Java JDK, Maven, Node, Commitizen, IntelliJ). Mentor testers who are new to automation and help them develop their first InsuranceNow automation scripts; document and share best practices. Facilitate weekly automation meetings to review best practices, address challenges, and track InsuranceNow updates affecting automation suites. Partner with business stakeholders to document critical path functionality for regression testing. Create detailed user stories in Jira defining testing requirements and steps for automating complex scenarios.

What You Need To Have To Be Considered
Strong understanding of Salesforce platform, configuration, and integrations. Experience with InsuranceNow or similar insurance applications. Deep knowledge of software testing methodologies, test design, and execution. Hands‑on automation experience with Selenium, Java, Maven, Node, and related frameworks/tools. Proven experience leading QA teams, mentoring junior testers, and collaborating across multiple teams. Strong documentation skills with experience in Jira (test cases, user stories, automation guidelines). Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
These Will Help You Stand Out
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms such as AWS. Prior experience in onsite or client‑facing roles.
Salary And Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $71,100 – $112,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
