The LE2 Program Quality Engineer will support the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Quality Program in Denver, CO at the Jamaica Street Campus. This opportunity, as the LE2 Program Quality Engineer, will be responsible for the overall implementation, maintenance, and compliance to quality and program requirements.
This role manages the implementation and execution of program quality requirements. Responsible for all aspects of Quality across the programs life-cycle including proposals, contract review, start-up, development, transition to production, production and support. Requires an understanding of quality tasks across quality functions including hardware, software, systems and suppliers/subcontractors, and customers. Proficient in company policies. Partners with program teams as the Quality Lead for design, development, production and mobilization phases of program execution. Performs contract reviews and flows down contract quality requirements to quality team, including suppliers. Establishes quality budgets and cost commitments. Ensures Quality Assurance Plans are documented, current and implemented. Schedules and ensures assessments of program (e.g. quality audits). Participates in independent program reviews to understand risks and drive Return to Green plans. Maintains a Customer quality relationship. Establishes and maintains effective Quality Program Team business rhythm.
Must be a self-starter who can manage multiple priorities within a team environment and meet documented schedule commitments. Ideal candidate to have prior experience presenting to various internal organizations and customers. Experience in application of quality principles in the areas of: design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products. Performs technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings, and procedures. Collaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place. Engages in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action. Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements. Evaluates quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment; conducts product quality tests, performs statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
