Are you a balance between an engineer who loves to break software, and one who is pretty systematic when it comes to high quality testing standards? Do you have experience in test automation and Python? And either automotive, or then embedded which require high quality standards?

Basemark brings Augmented Reality into real-world environments where performance and reliability are critical. With deep expertise in automotive AR, we specialize in advanced solutions for complex, dynamic settings—helping industries integrate AR seamlessly into everyday operations.

As Senior Test Engineer, you will be 50% hands on with SW testing, 50% responsible for the overall testing process and product quality. You will test our product own a host simulation, then head unit in our office in Helsinki. You will then collaborate with our automotive customers, plan activities, estimate tasks, and will be the owner of the overall test process itself including defect management and testing strategy. You should be capable of doing free testing, exploratory testing (think of when there are new features and you are not aware of how it goes. Figuring it out, is the mission).

We may need you to go to Germany to go on-site at one of our automotive customers, to drive one of their vehicles and test the SW together with the hardware. Are you up for that?

Responsibilities

• Manage testing activities for several related project (single customer group) - scope analysis, estimation, planning, control

• Analyze requirements and develop test-cases, test-plans, maintain testing documentation

• Manual testing (HOST simulation and target HW)

• Collaborate with the team (engineers, test engineers, project management, release management) in order to target outstanding testing performance

• Test Strategy ownership and improvements (methodology, procedures, tools)

• Testing related processes ownership and improvements

• Ensure Testing process ASPICE compliance and support during internal/external audits/assessments

• Test automation strategy development and proceed with automation rollout (with additional technical support if needed)

• Internal/External reporting

• Defect Management: manage internal and customer DTS and both direction synchronization), communication with customer regarding categorization, prioritization of defects and status reporting, internal management support of defects resolution/verification

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as QA engineer
