Work with superintendents and foremen to plan and organize activities concerned with construction projects. Confer with supervisors and foremen to discuss such matters as work procedures, complaints and construction problems. Perform quality and compliance inspections. Record and organize all necessary documentation to memorialize the implementation, maintenance, and effectiveness of the QC program. Monitor all QC/QA documentation and any other reports that are required for the project. Inspect and test systems and auxiliary equipment to locate and identify problems using reading and testing instruments. Track, manage, and monitor supplies and materials received and used to complete the project. Continually develop QC/QA procedures and logs. Work with and communicate effectively with subcontractors, superintendents, office staff, engineering staff, consultants, and owner representatives to facilitate project activities. Coordinates work assignment preparation and completion with other workers. Investigate potentially serious situations and suggest corrective measures. Represent the company in project meetings and attend strategy meetings. Performs other related duties as assigned. Build 3D models using field superintendent’s layouts in Revit and Navisworks. BIM coordination including clash detection and resolution using Navisworks Manage. Upload our models and follow the GC lead BIM coordination process through to Model Sign Off. Mentoring the BIM Designers and Detailers. Work with the BIM Manager/VDC Director in managing and maintaining BIM budgets throughout the project. Work with and maintain relationships with our operation team, the General Contractor, and MEP Trade team members. Collaborate with engineering department during model creation on design/build projects. Assist with the development and maintenance of PEI’s Revit templates, details, and graphic standards. Produce Bill of materials for procurement/labor tracking.
High School diploma/GED required. 8+ years of experience in performing Computer aided drafting in Electrical Commercial Construction industry. CAD associate's degree and/or working experience required. Electrical field experience and/or Electrical Theory associate's degree is required. Having knowledge and application of the National Electrical Code (NEC) is required. Proficiency with Autodesk production software Revit is required. Ability to work with Navisworks to view and extract information from the BIM model. Ability to read and comprehend construction blueprints and project specifications. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. Capable of working on multiple projects concurrently. Ability to complete tasks with accuracy and strong attention to detail while meeting aggressive project schedules. Must be a self-starter, with the ability to work well individually and as part of a team.
