Salary: $155,000 - $175,000 / year
Role & seniority: Manager, Test Engineering – leads a multidisciplinary test organization; responsible for end-to-end validation and continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.
Stack/tools: test methodologies (functional, performance, reliability, environmental, compliance, stress); test automation; test fixtures (in-house and at vendors); instrumentation; PCB, firmware, software, and system integration testing; defect tracking and formal reporting.
Lead, mentor, and grow the test team; define/test coverage across hardware, software, and systems; coordinate with vendors/suppliers.
Create and manage detailed test plans; design and deploy automated tests; develop production tests and fixtures.
Document results, track defects, analyze data for insights, and drive improvements; set KPIs and monitor test coverage and defect metrics.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
7+ years in test engineering/validation (hardware, firmware, software, or systems); 2+ years in people leadership.
Strong test methodologies, hands-on test automation, cross-functional communication, instrumentation and fixture design.

Summary
The Manager, Test Engineering leads a multidisciplinary test organization responsible for validating SENS products from end-to-end. Including PCBs, product firmware, application software, regulatory testing, and full system integration. This role ensures high product quality and customer reliability by owning test strategy, automation, lab operations, release readiness, and continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
*** Functional Testing:** Verification that a product operates according to specifications.
*** Performance Testing:** Characterization of a product’s responsive & stability under varying workloads.
*** Reliability Testing:** How a product performs over time & under stress.
*** Environmental Testing:** Extreme conditions performance: temp, EMC, humidity, vibration, etc.
*** Compliance Testing:** Confirm adherence to regulations & safety standards.
*** Stress Testing:** Determine a product’s breaking point & areas for improvement.
Required Qualifications
Location: This position is located on-site in Longmont, CO.
Base Compensation: $155,000 - $175,000 is the projected range of annual base salary for this role depending on the candidate’s overall qualifications and experience.
