Job Summary: The Control Sales Engineer is responsible for fulfilling control projects, providing timely control estimation, preparing quotations, and supporting both the Service Sales and Product Sales teams. This role involves project managing and fulfilling control projects, providing technical support to technicians, assist SSE with control service agreement estimation, and managing and generating reports connected to services. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient and accurate processing of orders, maintain high levels of customer satisfaction, and support the sales team in achieving their targets.
Manage and fulfil control projects from initiation to completion.
Manage all controls automation and connected services related project/service
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely delivery and installation of control systems.
Prepare and provide all required documentation as required by customer, sales and service team including control functional description and operational manuals.
Program and commissioning controls for projects.
Resolve any ongoing installation and/or operational issues.
Monitor project progress to ensure successful project completion.
As required, assists service sales and technician interstate to fulfil/program the CPC or
controls.
Provide timely and accurate control estimations to support the Service Sales and Product Sales teams. Quotations to include details and in reference to specification (if applicable).
Prepare and manage estimation templates for controls projects, cooling and heating plant managers, booster systems, connected services, and remote monitoring installations
Prepare and manage quotation templates for the above. Clearly identify project demarcation guidelines for ‘by Trane and for ‘by others’.
Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and tailor quotations accordingly.
Provide technical support to technicians, assisting them with troubleshooting and repair tasks.
Assist in the preparation of repair quotations, ensuring accuracy and completeness, if required.
Serve as a technical resource for the sales and service teams, providing expertise and guidance as needed.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and complaints related to control projects.
Provide prompt and professional responses to customer queries via phone, email, or chat.
Resolve customer issues in a timely manner, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Work with equipment sales and service sales teams
Coordinate with the marketing team to provide sales materials and promotional information to the sales team.
Ensure all processes and procedures comply with company policies and industry regulations.
Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance in order processing and customer service activities.
Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency
and effectiveness.
Manage connected services, ensuring seamless integration and operation.
Assist technician with installation and commissioning of connected services
Generate detailed reports on connected services performance, usage, and issues.
Analyse connected services data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential issues.
Provide regular updates and reports to management on the status and performance of connected services.
Be a proactive member of an ANZ regional controls team sharing ideas and best practices and help and guidance with the other team members. Participate in team meetings and calls and internal ‘on line’ communications amongst the group.
