Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuala Lumpur for a Software Test Engineer. The role involves designing, developing, and executing test cases to validate software functionality and performance. Daily tasks include performing thorough software testing, identifying and documenting bugs, collaborating with the development team, and ensuring that applications meet quality standards. Additionally, the Software Test Engineer will assist in maintaining and improving testing tools and processes to enhance quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, develop test solutions, and prepare technical documentation including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
• Independently conduct functional, performance, and compatibility testing; track and report testing progress and quality; effectively manage and coordinate the overall testing schedule.
• Perform detailed analysis and accurate root cause identification of issues discovered during testing; collaborate with project team members to discuss and resolve defects.
• Lead the development of automated testing, establish standardized testing platforms, and improve overall testing efficiency.
• Participate in the setup and optimization of unit testing frameworks; conduct code performance tuning; analyze issues identified during unit testing, propose improvement measures, and track validation results.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or a related field, with 3 years of testing experience.
• Proficient in ApiFox and capable of building interface automation testing.
• Strong technical foundation; proficient in one or more programming languages and their underlying principles; familiar with MySQL databases.
• Proficient in building automated testing frameworks using tools such as Pytest and Selenium, with the ability to set them up independently.
• Solid understanding of performance testing processes and hands-on experience with tools such as LoadRunner and JMeter.
• High sense of responsibility, with strong communication, organizational, coordination, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is required to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders in China.
