Role Overview We are looking for a Functional Tester to join one of our Nearshore teams working remotely for international clients accross The Netherlands and other European countries. You will support a highly complex and business‑critical banking project. This role will involve end‑to‑end functional testing within core banking environments, with a strong focus on Hogan/Mainframe systems, customer correspondence processes, and regulatory-driven testing.

You can choose wether you want to work remotely or from our offices in Lisbon or Porto.

What you will do

• Execute functional testing activities across Hogan/Mainframe systems, including mortgage servicing, customer letters, arrears processes, cost‑of‑credit updates, and loan sales;

• Interpret regulatory requirements and convert them into clear, comprehensive test conditions and scenarios;

• Analyse mainframe outputs such as VSAM files, batch jobs, and NDM/FTP transfers;

• Understand and validate end‑to‑end data flows, batch cycles, file structures, and mapping logic across multiple systems;

• Create high‑quality test scripts and perform peer reviews to ensure accuracy and consistency;

• Manage test evidence, documentation, and traceability in line with internal SDLC and Test Policy frameworks;

• Ensure test entry and exit criteria are respected and documented for audit compliance;

• Work with JIRA and Confluence to maintain test artefacts, workflows, and documentation.
