Full Description

Function

  • We are seeking an entry-level Power Electronics Technician to join our team in a controlled, fast-paced shop environment. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for conducting evaluations, executing tests, and performing repairs and maintenance on a variety of power electronic systems. The role also involves crucial data-entry responsibilities, where accurate documentation of tasks and reports is essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate a keen eye for detail and the ability to adapt to the evolving landscape of power electronics.

Job Duties

  • Perform evaluation and testing of AC drives, rectifiers, and other power electronics.
  • Ability to work safely and cautiously in a fast-paced work environment, working in low-to-medium voltage areas in a controlled shop.
  • Data-entry of evaluation and testing is extremely common, use of SAP-based software and/or Microsoft applications are required.
  • Perform the required work expeditiously.
  • Comply to company safety programs and precautions.
  • Use of electrical testing equipment to perform static and dynamic checks.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, or equivalent. No associate degree applicants are also considered.
  • General knowledge of electrical concepts and theory, ability to perform general mechanical and electrical tasks.
  • Knowledge of AC motors, DC motors, soft starts, VFDs, frequency inverters, rectifiers, etc. is a plus.
  • Microsoft Office required; SAP-based software is a plus.

U. S. citizen with valid passport or Texas State driver license.
