Assists in identifying trends or problems in office or regional level production and recommends appropriate changes for solutions. OAG employees enjoy excellent benefits (https://ers.texas.gov/Benefits-at-a-Glance) along with tremendous opportunities to do important work at a large, dynamic state agency making a positive difference in the lives of Texans.Function DescriptionFunctions as a quality control/case review analyst; identifies trends or problems and recommends appropriate changesCompletes case readings and contacts various sources to validate informationServes on committees and work groups to provide input on the development of policies, procedures and standardsConducts timely reviews and reports findings to assist in the development of action plansProvides training and technical assistance to office staffDevelops information management systems to collect and analyze program performance dataAssists Field Offices as needed with developing and deploying customized macrosMay serve as Notary PublicAssesses child support cases to determine appropriate actionResearches case information on the computer, including in the ChAMP system; maintains current knowledge of child support policies and procedures, Texas Family Law, federal regulations and other statesand#8217; IV-D regulationsDocuments all actions takenPerforms related work as assignedMaintains relevant knowledge necessary to perform essential job functionsAttends work regularly in compliance with agreed-upon work scheduleEnsures security and confidentiality of sensitive and/or protected informationComplies with all agency policies and procedures, including those pertaining to ethics and integrity

Qualifications: Education: Graduation from high school or equivalentEducation: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; experience in the following (or closely related) fields may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis: Child Support Program, investigations, customer service, and auditingExperience: Two (2) years of full-time experience working in the following (or closely related) fields: Child Support Program, investigations, and auditingKnowledge of Child Support Program policies and proceduresSkill in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlinesSkill in effective oral and written communicationSkill in exercising sound judgment and effective decision makingAbility to receive and respond positively to constructive feedbackAbility to work cooperatively with others in a professional office environmentAbility to provide excellent customer serviceAbility to work in person at assigned OAG work location, perform all assigned tasks at designated OAG work space within OAG work location, and perform in-person work with coworkers (e.g., collaborating, training, mentoring) for the entirety of every work week (unless n approved leave)Ability to arrange for personal transportation for business-related travelAbility to work more than 40 hours as needed and in compliance with the FLSAAbility to lift and relocate 30 lbs.Ability to travel (including overnight travel) up to 5%PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or universityExperience: auditing and investigating, use of Excel and WordPerfect 10, ChAMP and the Texas Child Support ProgramKnowledge: MacrosSkills: handling complex case inquiriesOther Language: Ability to proficiently read, write, and speak SpanishTo apply for a job with the OAG, electronic applications can be submitted through CAPPS Recruit.
