Job Summary – QA Analyst - Mainframe (CASS / CAP)
Location: Torrance, CA
Validate mainframe upgrades to the Customer Account Servicing System (CASS) through the CAP release process in an automotive finance environment. Analyze CAP bundles, classify RSECS (Release Sections) into Enhancements, Regulatory, and Corrections, and select appropriate test methods (SCRIPT, FFPP, etc.). Determine usage of impacted processes (homegrown vs. base code) and define regression testing scope. Plan and execute manual and batch tests, including authoring test scripts in Quality Center for both batch and online components. Perform Full File Production Parallel (FFPP) batch comparisons and reconcile output with RSECS changes. Document test enhancements for Honda-specific custom modules, ensuring compatibility and stability. Coordinate business reviews for regulatory and enhancement items, capturing approvals and maintaining traceability. Maintain audit-ready documentation, linking defects, test scripts, sign-offs, and following strict change control practices. Identify, record, and communicate defects; drive root-cause analysis and collaborate with development and operations teams. Manage mainframe test data, environments, and credentials for Account Servicing System testing. Ensure compliance, performance, and integration of Honda-specific requirements in account servicing functions. Requires 3-5+ years of recent mainframe QA/test experience in financial services, preferably in automotive finance, and hands-on skills in CAP/RSECS analysis, test script authoring, FFPP, and test planning for homegrown modules. Strong communication, defect management, audit discipline, and ability to work in complex mainframe environments.
