Role & seniority: Mid-level QA Engineer / Manual Tester (minimum 3 years in manual testing for mobile and web)
Stack/tools: Mobile/web testing; API testing (Postman or similar); databases with basic SQL; test case/test plan creation; defect tracking tools; familiarity with QA lifecycle; Databricks a plus
Execute manual tests on mobile and web apps across platforms/devices; conduct API and database validation
Create, maintain, and run detailed test cases and test plans; log and track defects; participate in functional, regression, integration, and system testing
Collaborate with developers and business analysts to derive test scenarios and generate test documentation and status reporting
3+ years in manual testing for mobile/web applications
Experience with API testing (e.g., Postman) and basic SQL for data validation
Strong attention to detail, ability to translate requirements into test cases, good communication, and knowledge of QA lifecycle
Familiarity with Databricks
Experience working in cross-functional teams and in multiple testing phases
Proficiency with defect-tracking tools and test documentation practices
Location & work type: Hybrid/remote-friendly with flexible hours; international team; potential on-site assignments abroad in Amaris offices across 60+ countries
ABOUT THE JOB Execute manual testing of mobile and web applications across different platforms and devices Perform API testing to verify the integrity, accuracy, and performance of backend services Conduct database validation to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency Collaborate with developers and business analysts to understand requirements and define test scenarios Create, maintain, and execute detailed and well-structured test cases and test plans Log, track, and follow up on bugs using standard defect tracking tools Participate in functional, regression, integration, and system testing phases Contribute to test documentation and reporting, including test results, defects, and status updates
ABOUT YOU Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in manual testing for both mobile and web applications Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman or similar Experience working with databases and writing basic SQL queries for data validation Familiarity with Databricks is a strong plus Ability to understand software requirements and translate them into test cases Strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies and edge cases Effective communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams Knowledge of software development and QA lifecycle methodologies
