Job Description What is the opportunity? RBC is hiring a Manager of Stress Testing Analytics. This role will be responsible for the implementation and execution of stress test tools supporting the data generation and aggregation for various internal and regulatory stress testing programs, building analytical tools and reports to provide internal and external stakeholders with insights into how RBC’s balance sheet and key financial ratios perform under stress. In this role and as part of the Enterprise Stress Testing team, there are unique opportunities to gain a birds-eye view into the inner workings of a large financial institution; learn finance, risk, and treasury concepts; employ data science skills; and learn how novel risks such as geopolitical tensions and climate change impact the Bank. This is an on-site role with 4 in-office days per week based out of the downtown Toronto office. What will you do? Implement and execute tools, processes, and methodologies required for stress test production and analysis of RBC’s exposures and portfolios. Produce stress testing results and conduct analysis covering the impacts on capital, liquidity, and management action under various stress scenarios. Analyze data using empirical and statistical techniques to fine-tune financial and risk projections. Engage cross-functional stakeholders across Finance, Retail Risk, Model Risk, Business Segments, and Corporate Treasury End-to-end project management, from idea conception, solution design, stakeholder buy-in, implementation and monitoring. Take ownership of the planning and execution of stress testing activities What do you need to succeed? Must-have University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Risk Management, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or other quantitative field of study. 2+ years of industry experience in financial services (stress testing, corporate treasury, risk management). Experience developing concise and impactful executive-level reports, presentations, and other deliverables. Advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, VBA, Python, SQL Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong understanding of banks’ balance sheets, P&L and capital. Strong ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, complex concepts to a non-technical audience. Nice-to-have Proficiency with a range of data tools, such as Tableau, Bloomberg Terminal, etc. CFA, FRM, CPA, or any finance- or risk-related professional designation/certification.
