Role & seniority: Ophthalmic Assistant / Special Tester, Full-Time; entry to mid-level support role reporting to physicians and clinical leadership.
Stack/tools: Chair-side physician assistance; ophthalmic diagnostic testing and documentation (visual acuity, manual lensometry, confrontational visual fields, stereopsis, motility, pupillary function, color plates, applanation tonometry, Humphrey Visual Field); patient education materials; exam room maintenance; multi-location travel.
Obtain and document patient history; monitor patient flow; ensure exam rooms are ready for physicians.
Perform diagnostic tests as ordered and maintain accurate/consistent documentation.
Assist physicians during exams, administer treatments per physician orders, and provide patient education.
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years in a medical/healthcare setting (ophthalmology preferred)
Excellent verbal communication; strong writing, attention to detail
Professional, patient-focused service; team-oriented
Solid computer skills; English (Spanish a plus)
Prior ophthalmology office experience
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Location & work type: Full-Time, on-site with travel to all office locations as assigned.

We are seeking a Full-Time energetic and reliable individual to join our team as an Ophthalmic Assistant/Special Tester. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing chair-side doctor assistance, performing diagnostic tests as required by ophthalmologist, and administering treatment as allowed and ordered by the physician.
