The ASIC IP Verification Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing verification infrastructure for complex ASIC IP environments. This role focuses on simulation workflows, repository management, CI/CD automation, regression health monitoring, and infrastructure scalability across multi-site development teams. The ideal candidate will take ownership of tasks while operating under the strategic guidance of a Technical Lead.
Proven ability to work independently with strong ownership and accountability. Deep expertise in Git and Perforce for complex repository structures and branching strategies. Extensive experience with Synopsys VCS and Verdi for simulation and waveform debugging. Strong background in developing and maintaining hardware build flows using GNU Make or similar tools. Proven experience implementing hardware-focused CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI. Advanced scripting proficiency in Python, Perl, and Shell (Bash/TCSH). Experience managing job schedulers such as LSF or Slurm. Experience optimizing storage and disk management for large simulation environments. Proficiency in JIRA and Confluence for workflow tracking. Experience using Power BI for verification metrics and regression reporting.
Design, develop, and maintain ASIC verification infrastructure and automation frameworks. Manage and optimize repository structures across multi-site IP development teams. Develop and maintain simulation build and regression flows. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated regression, linting, and build verification. Optimize compute resource usage and storage performance for simulation workloads. Develop scripting solutions for environment setup, automation, and data processing. Track verification metrics and regression health using reporting tools. Collaborate with verification engineers and technical leads to improve workflow efficiency.
Web development experience using HTML for internal dashboards and tools. Familiarity with AI coding agents and productivity tools such as Cline, Codex, or Genie. Experience with AI-driven log triaging, predictive regression analysis, or automated code generation. Experience with Ruby scripting. Basic SQL knowledge for querying regression data.
Strong infrastructure automation and DevOps mindset within hardware verification. Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills. Strong understanding of large-scale simulation environments. Effective collaboration and communication skills.
Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred. Equivalent hands-on industry experience in ASIC verification infrastructure may be considered.
