Description
Summary
Brivo is seeking a Software Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to build and lead an international, matrixed team of 5-15 QA engineers responsible for testing the applications, code, APIs, and features of our flagship devices and services.
Your team will be an integral part of our Agile delivery process, executing test plans from low-level API testing to manual and automated end-to-end testing across our technology stack. In this role, you will act as an inspiring leader, creating an environment where your team members champion product quality. You will guide them in designing effective test plans, encourage transparent communication of potential project risks, and build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a global, matrixed team of QA engineers. Conduct weekly 1-on-1s and regular performance reviews to provide constructive feedback, promote growth, and eliminate roadblocks. Foster a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Technical Strategy & Execution
Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies, processes, and best practices. Oversee the creation and maintenance of test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Implement and manage automated testing solutions to enhance efficiency and scale. Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies. Monitor and report on key QA metrics and KPIs to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with development, product management, and stakeholders to understand requirements and define clear acceptance criteria. Ensure testing processes are aligned with overall project timelines, managing multiple projects simultaneously. Coordinate with product managers to prioritize testing efforts based on deadlines and business needs. Facilitate seamless communication between QA and other departments to ensure the delivery of high-quality software. Ensure all testing activities are properly documented and adhere to established standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role. Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Hands-on experience with Automation and API testing tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Postman, GitHub). Proven knowledge of utilizing AI as a testing tool. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal communication.

The fixed base salary for this full-time role ranges from $110,000 to $130,000 USD. Individual compensation packages are based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, training, and market conditions.
