Staff Digital Verification Engineer, Power
Overview
Seeking an experienced digital verification engineer for pre-silicon verification of complex mixed-signal ICs for EVs, Industrial Control, Industrial Power, Isolation, and other Infrastructure applications. This role will be part of the design group that is at the forefront of the EV revolution, working to develop technologies that will revolutionize vehicles and enable new levels of power efficiency. Candidate will architect, design, and maintain verification systems for automotive and safety integrated circuits compliant to ISO26262 requirements. Responsibilities will also include, tool and test cases setup, verification, interface with design and functional safety teams, detailed documentation and other activities as required to achieve high-volume production.

Plan the verification of complex IC & design blocks by fully understanding the design specification Interact with design/system engineers to identify important verification scenarios and come up with an efficient verification plan for the product Responsible for the full life cycle of verification, from verification planning to test execution, to collecting and closing coverage Work with the functional safety team to formalize a safety verification plan that can help achieve the required ASIL level Build verification tools/scripts for system automation, regressions and reporting Support Design engineering with impact analysis on design changes effects on functional safety and ensure that functional safety is maintained Perform fault injection verification of the product and generate necessary safety work products Creates good documentation and reports on design results through design reviews Attends design reviews to provide input and learn from other team members
Minimum Requirements
BS +8/MS + 6 years of digital verification experience, higher degree may reduce the work experience Strong motivation to contribute to all facets of chip design from conceptualization to release to production Working knowledge of digital IC circuit design in an HDL synthesis environment Deep understanding of the digital design flow from architecture through RTL design, verification, synthesis, timing closure, P&R preparation and scan insertion Experience with Verilog, System Verilog and functional coverage Knowledge of scripting/language (Python, PERL, shell, TCL) Developed and executed comprehensive product and block level verification plans Advance knowledge of mixed signal concepts and digital-analog interfaces Experience in AMS modelling and verification Good verbal and written communication skills, positive attitude, desire to learn, and willingness to work on a team
Additional skills (one or more of these are highly desirable)
6-8 years of relevant experience in the design and/or verification of mixed signal and digital IC's Experience with digital design verification, and full-chip mixed-signal verification Prior experience in the development of the pre/post silicon verification strategy, test designs, and test infrastructure Experience with mixed signal verification and debug tools Understanding of Functional Safety Standard ISO26262 and Automotive Engineering principles Experience working on verification of functional safety products compliant to ISO26262 Experience with fault verification/injection simulators (Xcelium, Kaleidoscope etc) Competence in high-level languages (e.g. Matlab, C), scripting languages (e.g. Tcl, Perl, Python, SKILL), and version control systems (e.g. SVN, SOS)
