Role & seniority: Process Automation Engineer III (senior level) in the Project Services group
Stack/tools: PLC programming (Allen Bradley Logix 5000), HMI/SCADA (FactoryTalk View, Ignition SCADA), VFD configuration, distributed control networks, basic PC hardware/software; familiarity with P&IDs/electrical schematics
Develop and optimize PLC software and local operator interface platforms (HMI/SCADA)
Contribute to control system architectures and support system commissioning at customer sites
Analyze P&IDs/electrical schematics, plan daily tasks, generate project status updates, and assist in library maintenance
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent)
Experience implementing PLC control code and operator interface systems
Experience configuring VFDs and distributed control networks
Strong communication, teamwork, and ability to work independently
Authorized to work in the United States
5+ years PLC code development experience
2–3 years of high-level experience with HMI/SCADA platforms

SUMMARY - The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Process Automation Engineer III who will join our project services group and participate in all technical aspects, including project engineering, implementation of new product technologies and customer site support.
This position is dedicated to designing, developing, documenting, testing and aiding in the implementation of PLC and operator interface platforms for automated control systems. The candidate will execute project activities with team members to quote, execute and implement control systems at customer sites across various industries.
This Position Includes 4 Primary Functions
Contribute to the development of control system architectures Develop PLC control software from function system descriptions Develop operator interface platforms (HMI, SCADA) from functional system descriptions Deploy to customer sites to execute system startup and commissioning with team members
RESPONSIBILITIES - What You’ll Do
Develop and/or optimize PLC software for a wide variety of systems Develop and/or optimize local operator interface platforms Collaborate with team lead during system commissioning Support PLC/SCADA software libraries Analyze P&IDs and electrical schematics to facilitate control system development Effectively plan and manage daily tasks with time critical awareness Prepare project status reports and summaries as necessary or required
Travel: (e.g.) 20% travel within the Greater Boston area Cooperate with others to uphold Stellix’s Total Customer Commitment and focus on Quality
