About the role (your why)
Ready to shape the future of Quality Assurance, Automation, and Artificial Intelligence?
As the General Manager – Quality Assurance, you will take the lead in driving impactful collaborations between Datacom and our most complex customers. You will own the Automation push, leading an outstanding team of QA Automation Managers across Australia and New Zealand to unlock mutual growth, innovation, and opportunities.
In this role, you’ll implement a strategic approach to Automation and AI engagement with an intensive sales focus —turning opportunities into outcomes that benefit both Datacom and our Customers. This is a high-profile leadership role where influence, commercial acumen, and strategic thinking come together to accelerate shared success.
Sales leadership experience, the ability to create opportunities and align the selling organisations.
Ability to communicate technical concepts and align them with the market opportunity, client business goals and objectives.
Deep knowledge of the New Zealand market and potential opportunities.
Proven negotiating skills with the aptitude to ensure win/win situations for all parties.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent relationship building and management skills across stakeholders, collaboration and communication skills are critical.
Strong influencing and persuasive ability.
Effective presentation skills with the ability to convey technical information that translate into sales across various levels.

Build the mindshare of Datacom’s capability, competency and propositions within Quality Assurance, Automation, and AI while generating leads and opportunities
Positioning Datacom as market leader with appropriate new and existing technologies utilised by the QA teams.
Collaborating widely and with curiosity to drive the appropriate; communications, governance and adherence with all the Lines of Business within Datacom to unlock the benefits of collaboration and delivery.
Managing the day-to-day operations of direct reports, ensuring that; planning, governance, targets, communications, and contracts are properly addressed and monitored to ensure that service levels are met, and results delivered.
Managing the relationships with customers at the exec level, ensuring contracts and business plans are negotiated in line with strategic goals and financial targets.
Ensuring that external agencies and suppliers see Datacom in the best light and understand the full capability of Datacom.
