Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA Analyst with a strong background in API testing, Portal UI testing, file format validation, data mapping reconciliation, and SQL expertise. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in regression testing and a solid understanding of business flows within the banking domain, including transaction processing, compliance, and financial data integrity. Banking Domain Knowledge experience is a must.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for APIs, web portals, and backend systems. Validate various file formats (e.g., XML, JSON, CSV) and ensure accurate data mapping and reconciliation across systems. Perform functional, regression, and integration testing to ensure software quality. Collaborate with business analysts and developers to understand business flows and translate them into test scenarios. Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate data integrity and perform backend testing. Identify, document, and track defects using standard QA tools. Test banking workflows such as account creation, fund transfers, loan processing, and transaction reconciliation. Validate compliance with financial regulations (e.g., KYC, AML, SOX). Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across systems. Test integration points with core banking systems, payment gateways, and third-party financial services. Perform end-to-end testing of banking portals used by customers and internal staff. Validate audit trails and reporting features for financial transactions. Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) with business teams for banking applications. Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.
Required Skills
Experience 8 years of QA experience with a focus on API and Portal testing. Solid Banking Domain experience. Strong understanding of file formats, data mapping, and reconciliation processes. Proficient in SQL for data validation and backend testing. Exerience with regression testing and test automation tools is a plus. Solid grasp of banking domain workflows and terminology. Familiarity with tools like Postman, JIRA, TestRail, or similar. Excellent analytical and communication skills. Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, etc.,).Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts. ISTQB or similar QA certification.
