Role & seniority: Test Analyst (mid-level; 3+ years in testing)
Stack/tools: manual testing; web application testing; API testing; SQL; Test Management tools; JIRA; Confluence; exposure to DevOps and iterative development
Collaborate with business users and project teams to define requirements and testing scope
Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases (functional, non-functional, performance, security, API); log defects and track to resolution
Support UAT, provide results analysis and reports, and drive testing improvements with the Test Manager
3+ years in a similar testing role
Strong manual testing experience; web and API testing
SQL proficiency; experience with Test Management tools; familiarity with JIRA and Confluence
Good analytical, detail-oriented, and collaborative skills; strong communication
Automation experience
Insurance/claims rules testing background
DevOps exposure and experience with iterative development
Location & work type: Contract position; remote primarily, Cork-based candidates preferred for occasional office attendance

Collaborate with business users and project teams to define application requirements. Design and develop test approaches, test cases, and test plans for functional, non-functional, performance, security, and API testing. Execute test cases, log defects, and track issues through to resolution. Provide results analysis, defect reports, and operational reporting. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate testing with business users. Work closely with the Test Manager to identify and implement testing improvements. Evaluate and recommend testing tools for enhanced efficiency. Escalate issues in a timely manner and proactively contribute to process improvements.
3+ years in a similar testing role Strong experience in manual testing (automation experience is a plus!). Hands-on experience in web application testing and API testing. SQL knowledge and experience using Test Management Tools. Experience with JIRA and Confluence (preferred). Previous experience in the insurance industry or claims rules testing is an advantage. Exposure to DevOps and iterative development practices is beneficial. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
