About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer specializing in CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. In this role, you will provide essential support to our Quality department by programming and operating CMM equipment to inspect and measure products, materials, components, and parts. Your expertise will help ensure that our products meet strict quality and reliability standards, supporting our commitment to delivering excellence to our customers. You will analyze inspection reports, identify trends related to defective products, and recommend corrective actions to enhance our quality processes. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field. You should have advanced knowledge of quality engineering processes, regulatory requirements, and proven expertise in operating and programming CMM equipment at a professional level. Strong analytical skills, coupled with the ability to identify and solve complex problems proactively, are essential. Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), Quality Management Systems (QMS), and experience with SAP, CRM, and other PC software applications are required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to collaborate effectively across teams and levels of the organization. Candidates must demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Prior experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and the ability to work independently or as part of a global team are highly valued.

Responsibilities

Assist the Quality department in developing and implementing standards, methods, and procedures for inspection, testing, and evaluation of products to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards. Perform complex quality assurance tests and inspection activities, utilizing CMM programming skills to measure product dimensions and features accurately. Lead root cause analysis initiatives for process-related issues, analyzing data, reports, and defective products to identify underlying causes. Analyze process audit results and recommend effective corrective and preventive actions to improve product quality. Establish and verify quality requirements, ensuring that delivered products and components meet design specifications and reliability criteria. Develop cost-effective methods to improve quality within established budgets, balancing quality objectives with operational efficiency. Review and approve manufacturing processes, test instructions, and specifications to ensure conformance to program quality requirements. Conduct quality audits across various processes to verify adherence to standards and procedures. Provide expert guidance and support on complex quality issues, acting as a resource for colleagues and teams. Participate in quality system improvements, supplier quality assurance, and project product assurance activities as assigned. Maintain regular, punctual attendance and flexibility to work nights, weekends, or additional hours as necessary to meet project deadlines and operational needs.
