Role & seniority: Quality Assurance Analyst 3 (Senior/lead within QA team), provides leadership to a small QA team (~3 analysts).
Stack/tools: manual and automated test case management; performance testing; User Acceptance Testing support; documentation; defect reporting; adherence to government IT policies and security standards.
Lead and coordinate QA activities and deliverables per the Deliverable Assessment Framework; manage test artifacts (manual/automated cases, defect reports).
Develop and maintain performance testing initiatives; assist business users with UAT; ensure quality against project scope and stakeholder requirements.
Collaborate with IT resources across design, development, and releases; perform gap analysis; provide knowledge transfer and training to QA resources.
Proven QA leadership experience; ability to guide a small QA team.
Strong test planning/execute capabilities for manual and automated testing; performance testing basics.
Experience with UAT support, defect reporting, test documentation, and compliance with IT/security standards.
Excellent communication; ability to attend/lead meetings and coordinate with stakeholders.
Prior government IT environment experience; familiarity with Deliverable Assessment Framework.
Experience with test automation tools and performance testing tooling.

Note
The successful candidate will have the option of working remotely for the duration of the engagement. If the successful candidate would prefer to work onsite in Fredericton, NB, SNB will provide office space and resources at HSBC Place, for the duration of the engagement. Standard hours of work will be Mon - Fri 8:15 - 4:30 AST.
Travel outside the city of Fredericton is not expected. If the candidate is based outside the Fredericton region, it is the vendor’s responsibility to pay for the employee’s travel to and from their place of business (or home) and the Fredericton area. Additionally, the vendor will not charge SNB for employee travel time or expenses.
Deliverables
Provide leadership to other QA team members (QA team consists of approx 3 QA Analysts). Completion of the QA deliverables as defined in the Deliverable Assessment Framework. These activities will be identified and managed as part of the project or maintenance release plans; Build and maintain repository of manually executed and/or automated test cases based on project requirements and change requests; Assist business users in User Acceptance Testing; Create and maintain performance testing initiatives and adhering to best practices; Ensure the quality of applications based on defined scope and project requirements and meetings with project stakeholders; Ensure compliance with government IT policies, procedures and security standards; Communicate regularly with Project/Team Representatives and participate in Quality review sessions; Stay informed regarding project direction and context as applicable; Attend, or in some cases, lead team status meetings; Attend working group meetings as required Review project/release requirements and perform Gap Analysis; Work with various IT resources during the design, development, and implementation of IT Projects/Releases; Develop user documentation and procedures; Develop testing and defect reports at the end of each testing cycle; Assist in training of new QA resources; Work with the existing QA team members to ensure a knowledge transfer at the end of the assignment Assist other QA resources with testing; Other duties and tasks as assigned.
