Role & seniority: Silicon Validation Engineer; experienced (5+ years), likely senior level.
Interfaces: PCIe Gen5/Gen6, CXL, Die-to-Die/interconnects; UCIE/chip-to-chip
Validation: SI/PI analysis, jitter, crosstalk, BER, channel loss; PVT stress testing
Debug/automation: lab tools (oscilloscopes, BERTs, protocol analyzers); scripting (Python/Perl); validation plans, test methodologies, automation frameworks
Execute bring-up, validation, and debug of high-speed I/O interfaces (PCIe Gen5/Gen6, CXL, Die-to-Die).
Develop/implement validation plans, methodologies, and automation for compliance and margining; generate data analyses and recommendations.
Perform SI/PI analysis and validate interface performance under PVT; collaborate with design, architecture, SI/PI, and firmware teams to resolve issues.
BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent)
5+ years in high-speed I/O validation or related roles
Hands-on experience with PCIe, CXL, UCIE, and chip-to-chip interconnects
Strong SI/PI fundamentals, timing analysis, and power management
Familiarity with firmware-driver interactions and SoC architecture
Proficiency with debugging tools and scripting for test automation
Post-silicon validation experience in complex SoC environments
Knowledge of PCIe Base Spec, CXL standards
