SUMMARY: Our team of automation experts assist clients with their automation challenges, employing technologies such as motion control systems, robotics, machine vision, precision mechatronics, and other industrial automation products. Once they discover the client's needs, they will discuss our product portfolio, technological capabilities, business value with the client, perform product/solution demonstrations, provide quotations, and perform follow up activities. JOB DUTIES Clearly articulate technical capabilities and give technical demonstrations of products including motion control systems, robotics, machine vision, precision linear mechanics, and more. Follow up and qualify all sales leads. Travel to customers on sales calls for new and existing applications providing technical expertise to help win business. Identify and develop prospective new clients (OEM focus). Provide commercial and technical support to clients for both new and existing applications. Must hold a firm grasp on mechanical, electrical, motor control and robotics concepts used in automated industrial machinery. Candidate is responsible for maintaining and growing current customer relationships and growing sales with new customer acquisition pursuits. Candidate will partner with our key vendors to identify, contact, and follow-up with prospective clients to grow the assigned sales territory and accounts. Can clearly articulate highly technical concepts to all prospective clients. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Typically requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and zero (0) to two (2) years of related experience. 3-5 years technical sales experience in the hi-tech automation industry segment, preferred.
