Role: Quality Assurance Analyst

Employment Type: 12+ Month Contract, possibility of extension or hire

Location: 4 days onsite in Boston, MA

Overview The Quality Assurance Analyst plays a key role in validating the accuracy, functionality, and reliability of business and technical solutions. This individual designs and executes testing activities, partners closely with project teams, and ensures that final deliverables meet organizational standards, user expectations, and regulatory requirements.

Core Responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements and solution designs into clear, structured test plans, test cases, and execution scripts

  • Participate in early review sessions to clarify requirements and identify potential quality risks or gaps before development

  • Build testing timelines and strategies that align with overall project objectives and delivery schedules

  • Coordinate and conduct test plan walkthroughs with project leadership, analysts, and UAT teams to ensure shared understanding and coverage

  • Log, track, and verify test cases, outcomes, and defects using tools such as OpenText ALM or Quality Center

  • Prepare and maintain test data sets including those supporting automated tests

  • Provide visibility into testing progress, quality metrics, and release readiness using defined reporting formats and processes

  • Work with engineers, project managers, and analysts to resolve issues and maintain quality throughout the development lifecycle

  • Support UAT participants with test data, context, and defect information

  • Follow internal quality standards, company policies, and applicable industry and compliance requirements throughout all QA activities

Qualifications and Preferred Experience

  • Three to ten years of experience in software testing, ideally within insurance or financial services

  • Experience with ALM or Quality Center for managing requirements, test assets, and defect workflows

  • Strong background in data testing including SQL queries and XML validation

  • Familiarity with Property and Casualty insurance systems or workflows

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead discussions and collaborate across business and technical teams

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to high quality work

  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to team objectives

  • Proactive mindset with the ability to influence decisions, resolve conflicts, and identify process improvement opportunities
