Automation Test Engineer Job Category: Engineering Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local * * * The Opportunity: The CACI team is looking to add an IT Software Tester to the contract in support of the Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Office of the Chief Technology Officer. The IT Software Tester will primarily support ServiceNow platform testing for a custom development team, ensuring the quality, reliability, and accessibility of ServiceNow solutions. This role will work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable, and stable ServiceNow solutions. The successful candidate will design, execute, and maintain automated and manual test scripts, with a strong emphasis on ServiceNow workflows, integrations, and customizations. The tester will also validate compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards. Responsibilities: Analyze user stories and requirements to identify test scenarios and acceptance criteria. Develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual test scripts for ServiceNow applications, workflows, and integrations using Playwright. Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing on ServiceNow modules and customizations. Conduct Section 508 compliance testing using ANDI and Lighthouse to ensure ServiceNow solutions meet federal accessibility requirements. Document and report defects, track issues through resolution, and communicate findings to the development team. Collaborate with ServiceNow developers and stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage. Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data specific to ServiceNow implementations. Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups. Provide recommendations for process improvements and contribute to continuous quality assurance initiatives. Qualifications: Required: Active Secret clearance required Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum 7 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on automation. Hands-on experience testing ServiceNow applications, workflows, and integrations. Proficiency with Playwright for automation testing. Experience conducting Section 508 compliance testing using ANDI and Lighthouse. Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Experience with bug tracking and test management tools using Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO). Desired: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or other relevant ServiceNow certifications. ISTQB or similar software testing certification. Experience with API testing and performance testing tools. Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Prior experience supporting federal or government clients. Work Location: Client site in Arlington, VA. This position requires 4 days onsite and 1 day remote per week. This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately.
