As part of the Software and Product Innovation team you lead a group of performance test engineers, coaching and mentoring them on day-to-day activities while driving the implementation of performance standards across applications. As a Manager, you are accountable for planning performance testing with project teams, leveraging performance monitoring tools to analyze bottlenecks and provide recommendations, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance application performance.

Key Responsibilities
QA Strategy & Leadership
Lead the design, development, and execution of a comprehensive QA strategy aligned with platform goals.
Define and maintain quality standards, best practices, and metrics across projects.
Manage and mentor QA engineers, driving continuous skill development and cross-team collaboration.
Partner with Product, Engineering, and DevOps to integrate QA practices seamlessly into the SDLC.
Promote a culture of early testing, continuous feedback, and quality ownership across teams.
Automation Framework Development & Management
Architect, implement, and maintain scalable, maintainable UI and API automation frameworks using tools like Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) for continuous validation.
Ensure proper coverage of end-to-end regression, smoke, and integration tests.
Evaluate and onboard GenAI-assisted QA tools to optimize test authoring, maintenance, and defect analysis.
Quality Planning, Execution & Optimization
Oversee planning and execution of all testing types — functional, regression, integration, smoke, and UAT.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure features meet Definition of Done (DoD) and acceptance criteria.
Analyze defects and test outcomes to identify patterns and drive systemic quality improvements.
Define release readiness criteria, ensure validation across environments (INT → Stage → Prod), and manage sign-offs.
Collaboration & Communication
Collaborate with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and Engineering Leads to ensure quality is built into every release.
Communicate QA status, risk, and mitigation plans to leadership and stakeholders through concise dashboards and reports.
Participate actively in agile ceremonies (planning, retrospectives, demos) to ensure testing is aligned with sprint goals.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in Quality Assurance, Test Automation, and Software Testing Leadership.
Strong hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Postman).
Proficiency in test planning, execution, and reporting for agile and DevOps delivery models.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and QA integration into modern build processes.
Strong understanding of microservices architectures, REST/GraphQL APIs, and asynchronous system testing.
Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) and APM tools (e.g., DataDog, New Relic).
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
