Role & seniority: Mechanical Quality Assurance Manager (Product Quality Assurance) within Thales Alenia Space; senior/lead-level management of quality and product assurance for mechanical production in space programs.

Stack/tools: Quality Management System (QMS); PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis); engineering quality assurance; review processes (EQSR, PDR, CDR, QR, MRR, KIP/MIP, TRR, TRB, DRB); manufacturing drawings and MOS approval; NCR/RFW tracking and KPI reporting; risk/opportunity analyses.

  1. Capture project/product requirements and present qualification status; update quality documents per customer requirements and QMS.

  2. Manage quality engineering and supply chain quality; monitor qualifications and critical items; lead NCR resolution and disposition with technical support.

  3. Prepare and participate in internal/external reviews (PDR/CDR, MRR/TRR/TRB/DRB), approve documentation, and provide quality status and performance indicators.

Must-have skills

  • Experience with quality processes in the space/mechanical production domain.

  • Proficient in PFMEA, QMS, and review processes; ability to approve engineering/industrial documentation.

  • English fluent; ability to communicate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers; risk management and NCR handling.

PQA Product Quality Assurance - Mechanical Quality Assurance Manager Job Description Within the Product Quality organization, research a profile who already masters quality processes in the space domain. The profile will exercise the Quality and Product assurance missions in the Mechanical Production domain of space products. This job requires competences in Industrialization, in the aim to implement the quality for a single product or serial production. The profile will work within an integrated team. English fluent is required For the programs and according to their progress, main tasks are described : • Capture information about the project / product and its requirements, • Present a qualification status of the equipment, • Create or update the quality documents in accordance with customer requirements and our Quality Management System (QMS), with the support of engineering and Engineering Quality Assurance, • Contribute to the application of PFMEA process (Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis), • Approve technical documentation from Engineering, Industry • Monitor the qualifications and the critical Items, • Manage the Quality Engineering and Quality Supply Chain to provide a complete quality status of the products and equipment’s, • Participate, contribute to supplier, internal or customer reviews (EQSR, PDR, CDR, QR, MRR, KIP / MIP, TRR, TRB, DRB), • Check the engineering and configuration documents, • Ensure the correct application of the design, definition and procedures review processes, • Approve the manufacturing drawing and Manufacturing Operation Sheet (MOS) for internal product, • Contribute, prepare and participate to MRR & TRR customer preparation reviews, provide the quality status (NCR list, RFW list), fill in the performance indicators of reviews, • Contribute, prepare and participate for TRB and DRB customer reviews, provide the quality status (NCR list, RFW list), Fill in the checklists of these reviews, • Manage the KIPs (internal) or MIPs (With customer presence), • Contribute to the preparation of EIDPs by establishing the final list of NCRs, RFWs, "open work" list and the Certificate of Conformity, • Manage the NCRs and the analyses of major NCR and present the dispositions to customers with technical support and support the CC to solve unblock the problems in clean room if needed, • Exercise the right to alert in case of non-compliance with the QMS, communicate, • Participate, prepare and contribute to risk / opportunity analyses of the engineering, production and / or industrialization phases, At Thales Alenia Space we provide CAREERS and not only jobs.
