Job Description: We are seeking an Engineer II for Microcontroller (MCU) validation to join our team in Nantes, France. The successful candidate will support the digital & system validation of 32-bit microcontrollers at the silicon level. Responsibilities include planning and developing test cases and procedures, creating embedded MCU software, automating lab equipment, collecting and analyzing data, and preparing validation test reports. The role involves collaboration with team members in Chandler, Arizona, Nantes, France, Bangalore, India, and other global corporate teams. Key Responsibilities Develop module and system-level tests for integrated microcontrollers. Implement automated lab test bench setups using NI TestStand / LabView. Create, maintain, and review test procedures and validation plans. Collect, analyze, and post-process test data; prepare test reports and related documentation. Communicate weekly status updates to peers and leadership. Support customer requests for released products. Collaborate internationally with groups such as Architecture, IC Design, Analog Library, Applications, Marketing, Product, and Test Engineering Requirements/Qualifications: Qualifications New graduate to 2–3 years of related work experience. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent). Strong programming experience in C or C++ for embedded microcontrollers and peripherals. Experience with and automation of standard lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, etc.). Experience in systems validation and cryptography is a plus. Ability to design test cases and customer usage models that challenge design assumptions. Experience reviewing and guiding test board schematics and layout is a plus. Proficiency with collaborative development tools (JIRA, GIT, Confluence) is a plus. Experience with scripting languages such as Python for automation and data analysis. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
