The QA Project Lead is responsible for leading the Project QA team, providing guidance, distributing workload, and ensuring adherence to QA best practices and standards across both Project QA and O&M QA test teams. This role will define the overall QA strategy, manage testing activities, and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Lead the QA team for the project, providing direction and workload distribution. Ensure QA best practices and standards are followed by Project QA and O&M QA teams. Develop and maintain the Project Test Plan and QA Strategy. Collaborate with Project Manager (PM), Business Analyst, and Development Leads to align QA activities with project goals.
Plan and oversee various testing phases: Smoke, Functional, System Integration, Compatibility, End-to-End (E2E), Automation, Performance, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Drive continuous improvement by introducing new QA tools, methods, and technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Define overall QA testing effort and resource requirements for the project. Ensure compliance with QA processes and methodologies. Provide accurate QA testing effort estimations to PM/PMO. Execute test cases and track results in Azure DevOps (ADO). Ensure proper test environment setup and creation of test data. Lead defect triage meetings, ensuring defects are tracked in ADO and lifecycle processes are followed. Identify root causes of defects and implement preventive measures. Communicate QA expectations and requirements to internal and external stakeholders. Hold System Integrator (SI) accountable for deliverables.
Hands-on QA testing experience in Customer Level Management applications (including Web applications, Genesys IVR, and others). 8–10 years of QA testing experience, including test case development and execution.
