  • Carry out PAT testing for commercial clients (offices, retail, schools, warehouses, landlords)

  • Ensure compliance with current safety regulations; label and record results; highlight unsafe equipment

  • Represent MJP Electrical professionally; follow systems, support service delivery, communicate with support/ops; feedback for process improvements

Must-have skills

  • PAT testing qualification (2377 or equivalent); own calibrated equipment; public liability insurance; full UK driving licence

  • Professional presentation; strong communication; time management; ability to work on-site efficiently; ability to follow policy/procedure

  • Experience with testing, quoting, customer service, and certification software or job management systems

Nice-to-haves

  • DBS clearance; additional IT/systems proficiency; demonstrated problem-solving in electrical issues; mentoring or training willingness

Position Overview

Due to increased demand for Portable Appliance Testing (PAT), we're looking to expand our team of trusted professionals.

We have a steady flow of PAT Testing work and need skilled, self-employed PAT Testers to support our growing customer base. This is a great opportunity for experienced testers to partner with a well-established company and benefit from regular, flexible work.

What's Involved

Carrying out PAT Testing for commercial clients (offices, retail, schools, warehouses, Landlords etc.) Testing appliances to ensure compliance with current safety regulations Accurately labelling and recording all test results Highlighting any unsafe equipment or issues to site contacts Representing MJP Electrical in a professional and friendly manner Execute our systems and processes to over achieve our clients expectations Collaborate with our team to ensure optimal delivery of our service Communicate effectively with customer support and our operations team. Maintain high standards of workmanship and professionalism whilst maintaining our excellent reputation Provide feedback on with our leadership team on improvements of efficiency and all our core values
