Job Brief

  • Exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and progressive company in search of a reliable PAT Tester to carry out Portable Appliance Testing across a range of client sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and certifying electrical equipment to ensure compliance with current safety regulations, playing a vital role in ensuring the seamless delivery of our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) on a wide range of electrical equipment
  • Visually inspect appliances for damage, wear, or safety issues
  • Accurately test equipment using approved testing instruments
  • Label tested equipment and record results clearly and correctly
  • Complete test reports and certification in line with company and legal requirements
  • Identify and report any failed or unsafe equipment to clients
  • Maintain testing equipment and ensure calibration is up to date
  • Adhere to health & safety procedures at all times
  • Provide a professional and courteous service when dealing with clients

Requirements & Qualifications

  • PAT Testing qualification (e.g. City & Guilds 2377 or equivalent)
  • Good understanding of electrical safety standards and regulations
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping
  • Good communication and customer service skills
