You will have a positive impact on our success by: Contributing to the ongoing development of automated solutions for our next generation optical switches, amplifiers and circuit packs. Collecting and analyzing test data to improve product performance and quality. Solving complex technical problems. Working in close collaboration with the Optical, Hardware, Software, and Firmware R&D teams. Analyzing and characterizing device failures; and, Improving the quality and robustness of our products. What We’re Looking For A craving to succeed and to do things right the first time. Strong object-oriented software design and implementation (any language). Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Education 2+ years towards a degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science or equivalent. The following qualifications are an asset: Experience with C#, Python, and Linux. Experience in instrumentation and automation. Understanding of optical systems; and, Experience with optical instruments and optical fibers.
