Job Description
As a Senior Test Engineer, you will play a vital role in the verification and validation of a wide range of technology on the car. You will lead the specification and execution of tests to ensure that we maximise the performance of the car and achieve the highest levels of reliability. Working with the engineering teams around the business, you will help to accelerate our rate of car development, by delivering new test methods and capability.
Design, commission and execute tests on a wide variety of platforms including HiL transmission and VTT dyno, brake dyno, eight-post rig, fuel, cooling and structural test rigs.
Lead the delivery of cutting-edge test capability, to support the development of car systems and verification of car hardware.
Define requirements for the engineering design, control and data acquisition systems to support the test methodology.
Manage the delivery of complex projects to challenging deadlines and ensure adherence to budget.
Lead and represent the department at off-site testing including, FIA crash testing, K&C, CofG and other on or off-track events.
Drive the development of our validation and verification processes, by harnessing new technology or methods to improve quality of our work and reduce the time taken to bring performance to the track.
Steer the development of our data handling, telemetry and reporting tools, to allow realtime analysis of data and concise post-event reports
Define requirements for the engineering Design, Electronics and Control systems teams who will support delivery of T&V projects.
Work closely with the engineering teams to develop fast and efficient test programmes, test methodology and capability, which accelerate the development loop.
Provide the guidance and leadership needed to develop Test Engineers and Test Technicians
