Role & seniority: Lead / Senior Systems Design Engineer (MTS) at AMD; high-visibility, independent contributor with leadership aspects.
Stack/tools: C programming and data structures; scripting; lab hardware (protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes); board/platform-level debugging; software/hardware modeling frameworks; validation methodologies.
Drive technical innovation to improve validation capabilities, including tool/script development and process/methodology enhancements.
Debug issues during bring-up, validation, and production phases of SOC programs; ensure features are validated and optimized on schedule.
Collaborate across multiple teams to track test execution, engage supporting technical teams, and lead cross-functional validation efforts.
Proficiency in C programming and data structures; strong debugging techniques.
Extensive experience with lab equipment and board/platform-level debugging (delivery, sequencing, analysis, optimization).
Deep knowledge of system architecture, validation strategy, and analytical problem-solving; self-starter capable of driving tasks to completion.
Additional scripting skills (e.g., Python) and broader tool development experience.
Familiarity with software/hardware modeling frameworks and cross-functional collaboration across teams.
Advanced degrees in electronics engineering (Bachelors or Masters).
