About the Role
As IP Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for the overall bring-up and characterization of our IP and SoC. You will set up the lab environment and develop the software toolset necessary for to perform all tests and characterization. You will also author and review silicon test and characterization reports, and work closely with Application Engineers to support customer inquiries and debug.
Responsibilities and Duties
Evaluation of TSS’s high speed PHY designs in an electronics lab environment Work with cross functional teams in defining test experiments, data collection, and diagnostic analysis Develop test methodologies, define test plans and improvements to current test practices Use bench lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, BERTs, etc. Develop software suites for platform control, hardware interaction, data analysis and automated silicon test suites Author silicon reports including functional and electrical characterization of IP Supporting lab demonstration of TSS’s products Supporting Application Engineers with customers post-silicon issues and debugs Participate in Design specification to ensure appropriate test capabilities are built into IP and SOC Provide inputs to PCB design requirements
Requirements
+2 years of Hardware Validation Lab experience with at least 1 year in high-speed analog/mixed links such as DDR PHY and/or SerDes Minimum of Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field Strong knowledge of practical and theoretical aspects of high-speed analog/mixed-signal testing Familiarity with software development in Linux environment Familiarity with programming languages Python and C/C++ Experience in setup and operation of test instruments including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, BERTs, logic analyzer Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Preferably has knowledge of some Memory DDR protocols (LPDDR, GDDR, HBM, etc)
