Full Description
Job Summary
Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Quality Assurance Tech based out of our Ferris, Texas office to test aggregates materials to meet the standards for the aggregates industry. This role is responsible for testing sand and gravel to meet and uphold quality standards based on company and industry expectations.
Day to Day
Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition You will test aggregate materials based on established quality specifications Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations. Use calculators, computers, telephone, sand shakers, scale, splitter, ovens and wet ball machine for
material testing
Maintain quality records as required Adhere to Arcosa’s Compliance Validation Plan Perform other related duties as assigned, include day trips to local plants as needed
About You
Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance Positive, Team-based attitude Ability to lift 50 to 70 lbs. The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy) Ability to stand on concrete 7-8 hours a day Attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Working Conditions
Working in a lab environment most days. Other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
