  • Support AWX platform and integrations with GitHub Enterprise, CyberArk, LDAP; automate reusable infrastructure solutions

  • Develop scripts, playbooks, workflows for telecom/network/compute/ops; automate config, monitoring, patching, and compliance

  • Establish and maintain enterprise automation standards; provide guidance/training; coordinate with stakeholders; integrate workflows with ITSM/CMDB

Must-have skills

  • BS/BA in CS/MIS or equivalent experience; strong automation background

  • Proficiency with Ansible/WAWX, scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash), REST APIs

  • Experience with source control (Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps); Windows and Linux familiarity

  • Knowledge of security policies; basic enterprise networking (Cisco); strong communication and prioritization

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Puppet or Chef; Terraform or other IaC tools

  • Deep ITSM/CMDB integration experience; vendor API familiarity

  • Patch, compliance, and reporting automation; ability to influence adoption of standards

Full Description

TITLE: Ansible WorX (AWX) Automation Engineer

LOCATION: Atlanta, GA (hybrid)

ANTICIPATED DURATION: From 02/16/2026 to 01/31/2028

Responsibilities

  • Support the Ansible WorX (AWX) automation platform and integrations to GitHub Enterprise, CyberArk, LDAP
  • Automate reusable solutions for use across the infrastructure organization including documentation and training
  • Develop scripts, workflows, and playbooks for infrastructure (telecom, network, compute, operations) following coding and security standards
  • Automate configuration and monitoring using tools like Ansible, Python, or vendor APIs
  • Implement and manage configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) for OS and middleware automation
  • Develop, document, and maintain enterprise-wide standards for automation practices and tools
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand diverse automation needs and advocate for unified solutions
  • Provide guidance and training to peers on effective branching strategies, versioning, and code review processes
  • Integrate automation workflows with ITSM and CMDB systems
  • Build and maintain automated patching, compliance, and reporting frameworks
  • Optimize infrastructure utilization and reduce manual intervention in operational tasks
  • Participate in IS Automation Program initiatives
  • Communicate progress, problems and best practices to management, leads and teammates

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Computer Science or MIS is desired or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of automation technologies and processes
  • Basic knowledge of security policies
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Familiarity with enterprise networking (Cisco)
  • Proficiency with scripting (Ansible, PowerShell, Python, Bash, REST APIs)
  • Hands-on experience with automation platforms (Ansible Tower/AWX/AAP, vRealize Automation, HashiCorp Terraform)
  • Experience with source control systems (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub) in enterprise environments
  • Demonstrate strong communication and influence skills to encourage adoption of automation standards
  • Ability to effectively organize tasks, manage multiple priorities/details, meet schedules, and deliver on customer commitments
  • Ability to negotiate with and influence others—internally as well as vendors
  • Ability to build relationships and work in a team atmosphere as well as work independently
  • Ability to provide and accept feedback
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Professional oral and written communication skills

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $55.00 to $65.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
