We are looking to hire Industrial automation engineer, who will be responsible for identifying, designing, planning, and executing automation and process improvement and capital projects through multi-functional team collaboration to support safety, quality, and cost saving initiatives for production in the Oakville facility. What You Will Do Evaluates current state process gaps based on quality, safety, capacity, and cost Identify and Research Automation opportunities that will support the business for future growth Lead an internal team, or vendor, through the development, design and execution phases of the automation Offer technical expertise in design, development and execution of project Develop detailed project plans and ensure all project task deliverables, costs, and timelines are delivered according to plan Establish the physical layout of machinery and the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow Plan the sequence of operations and procedures and document the manufacturing standard work and routings Plan the allocation of resources, materials, and personnel to establish maximum utilization of equipment Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control and production record systems Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in implementing automation projects. Experience in machine/equipment installation and commissioning. Experience in CAD software system. Experience in Project Management and prioritizing projects. Successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP Qualifications We Prefer Experience in Aerospace industry Experience in Catia and/ or NX. PLC Programming and Robotics experience. ABB and Fanuc Experience Problem solving, and Organizational skills Demonstrated proficiency in all MS office applications Builds strong interpersonal relationships and motivates cross functional teams Strong understanding of Continuous Improvement and Lean Techniques and applications. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
