About This Role
Testing and integrating new technology into our family of USV products throughout the lifecycle of the program. Leading a team of 2-4 test engineers including allocation and monitoring of daily tasking and overall responsibility for daily testing operations related to the program for which you are assigned. Executing test engineering tasks – including (but not limited to) requirements analysis, design review support, test planning, readiness reviews, integration, verification, test/failure review board management, risk management, and engineering analysis. Preparing and presenting test engineering work products – including (but not limited to) test plans, procedures, and reports to internal review teams and external customers. Working cross functionally with project management, project engineering, and engineering functional leaders to provide project planning for test activities, resource allocation requests, test metrics tracking, and test status. Serving as a resource to others within the department and the organization. Interacting daily with US Navy customers, program managers, planners, and technicians. Driving tasks to completion independently.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (software, electrical, mechanical, systems, or computer engineering) or physical sciences and a minimum 5 years of experience in a systems engineering or design engineering role required OR Master’s Degree in engineering or physical sciences with 3 or more years related experience. 2 years demonstrated project leadership experience preferred
Active Secret Clearance preferred; Secret eligibility required
Travel Required: 25% - 30% travel Effective writing and presentation skills. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio).
