Role & seniority: GIS Commissioning Engineer (Engineer level), Field Service Engineering
Stack/tools: GIS commissioning tools; SF6 gas handling equipment; leak detectors; HV test gear; test plans; switchgear products (GIS, CT, VT, LCP, Relays, meters)
Perform GIS commissioning tests at sites per the site test plan; ensure work flow aligns with FQP and milestones
Conduct high voltage and partial discharge tests; manage SF6 gas handling and related equipment
Maintain site safety, prepare/open punch points, report daily/site progress, and escalate non-conformities for resolution
Minimum 6 independent GIS commissioning projects completed
Practical experience with GIS commissioning tools and SF6 handling/ leak detection
Expertise in testing switchgear products (GIS, CT, VT, LCP, Relays, meters); HV and PD testing
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; 3–6 years in relevant field
Readiness to travel; field coordination with site/project managers; ability to contribute to risk assessment and mitigation
Experience with safety toolbox talks and site QA/QC processes
